Award Winning photography artist Joanne Bernardini, received an invitation from noted history scholar Dr. Lee J. Williames of the University of St. Thomas, Houston Texas, to accompany him on an extended research tour of Ireland. Dr. Williames, a frequent visitor of the Emerald Isle is preparing a curriculum of Irish history studies at the University. As this was an opportunity not to be missed, she gladly accepted!
The trip afforded her the dual opportunity to indulge two of her life's passions photography and genealogical research. Dr. Williames instilled a sense of the vastly rich history of Ireland as he brought each site to life with tales of it's particular importance in the history of the Irish people.
BestIrishPhotos.come is a small collection of the photographs taken on that trip. Several of the award winning photos have received widespread acclaim and were featured in the Noyes Museum and private art gallery shows.
